Installing Eclipse JavaFx in Linux Base (Ubuntu / Lububtu)


I assumed you already have Java8, JRE,  JDK and Eclipse IDE in your operating system ubuntu or lubuntu

  1. Open your eclipse oxygen.
  2. Navigate to Help > Eclipse Marketplace
  3. Then search for ‘java fx’ and look for e(fx)clipse then install it,   In my case I already installed the solution/package… see image below

5. Once installed then you need to install openjfx

sudo apt-get install openjfx

6. Close your Eclipse IDE then reopen again.. then create new project using JavaFX see below.
